Preparing for
the Chant Exam
I hope that the following materials will be helpful for you as you prepare your materials for the upcoming Chant Exam. As I prepared for the exam myself, I thought I would sing everything into the computer and make the files available for anyone who wanted to listen to them. Please note: the chants that I have here (like the gospel, the opening prayer, etc.) I plan on using for my exam, so if you would be so kind to use one of your choice, that would be great).
All of the files are in MP3 format. You can play them with any media player (Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, QuickTime player, etc.)
Some of the chants start on a rather high note, which may be difficult for those who have a lower vocal range. In that case, I sang in a lower key, and tried to remember to indicate that on the recording when I did that.
You can utilize the files in two ways: (1) By clicking on them and playing them directly from this web site; or (2) You may right-click on the blue text, and choose SAVE TARGET AS. Then, save the files to your hard disk.
Please email me if you have any questions (Michael@fulgentius.org).
