
This web site is dedicated to St. Fulgentius of Ruspe. St. Fulgentius was born in the year 465 at Carthage, Northern Africa. He was monk, inspired by the teachings of St. Augustine. Fulgentius became bishop of the town of Ruspe (modern-day Tunisia) in 508, and was unrelenting in defending the Catholic faith against the Arian movement. He died at Rupse on January 1, 533. His feast day is celebrated on January 1, with our Blessed Mother.
